Nigerian actress Shaffy Bello Rejects Younger Men, Focuses on Marriage Goals

Shaffy Bello marriage plans take priority as she moves on from dating younger men

Nollywood actress Shaffy Bello has revealed that her relationship goals have shifted over time.

At 54, the popular actress confirmed that while young men still send her messages on social media, she is no longer interested in dating them. Instead, her focus is now on meaningful and long-term commitments.

Speaking on the Dear Ife Podcast, the Nollywood actress Shaffy Bello admitted that she finds it flattering when younger men show interest but is often put off by their casual and immature approach. “Yes, men still slide into my DM. When you’re over 50 and young men still slide into your DM, that’s flattering.

But some of them are just badly behaved. Some will come and say, ‘Hi dear.’ You know, you just want to insult their mother. But it’s flattering,” she said.

Addressing her past experiences, Bello stated that she once dated a younger man, but only for fun. “I can’t date a younger man.

There’s no need to. I’ve done it before, but I don’t want to do it again. I think what I want now is different. When I dated the younger man, I was having fun, and it was for a season. That season is over. But there’s nothing wrong with dating a younger man,” she explained.

Her recent comments have sparked interest among fans who admire her candid nature and evolving outlook on love. Shaffy Bello marriage plans are now a priority, although she believes that Nigerians often hold rigid views about the concept of marriage. “I know for sure what I want now is marriage.

I don’t mind marriage, but I have a very different opinion when it comes to what we [Nigerians] believe marriage is. I think a lot of people are very rigid when it comes to marriage. I would rather leave it there,” she noted.

Bello was previously married to Mr. Akinrimisi from 1995 to 2020, and they share two children.

With a thriving career in Nollywood and a clear vision of her personal life, Shaffy Bello continues to inspire women to embrace confidence, maturity, and self-worth in relationships.
